For each activation, the activation date, the location (substation\/congestion area), and the activated volume in MWh are displayed. However, a congestion situation cannot always be predicted down to the exact quarter hour. It depends on factors such as electricity production, consumption, and weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>When grid operators expect congestion, they deploy flexibility in a targeted way. This can be done in several ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Redispatch (intraday)<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen grid overload is expected or emerging, grid operators ask the market for bids through GOPACS. A market message indicates in which area and at what time flexibility is needed. GOPACS then helps select the most effective bids, while ensuring that the solution does not create new bottlenecks elsewhere on the grid.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Capacity Limitation Contracts (CLCs)<\/strong><br \/>\nWith CLCs, flexibility is arranged in advance. With <strong>CLC-T<\/strong>, fixed time windows are agreed in which flexibility is delivered (predictable). With <strong>CLC-A<\/strong>, you are only called upon when flexibility is truly needed, and you are notified at least one day in advance (day-ahead).
