Last week, the annual FlexCon took place in Brussels, an international event focused on flexibility, innovation, and collaboration in the energy market. Our new Product Owner, Cyriel van Oorschot, was part of the GOPACS delegation and wrote a great recap.

GOPACS and Nord Pool today announced a new cooperation to strengthen congestion management in the Dutch electricity grid and expand market access for flexibility. With Nord Pool on board, all three Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) will be connected to GOPACS – a milestone for the Dutch flexibility market.

The energy transition brings major challenges, and grid congestion is currently one of the most pressing. Dirk Jan Masselink, co-founder of Repowered, recognized the problem early on.
