Grid congestion is forcing a shift in energy consumption: flexibility is central to the RVO report
The RVO recently published a report on making electricity consumption more flexible. The solution lies in making smarter use of the grid.
Reflecting on an inspiring visit: Last Monday, we had the privilege of hosting a distinguished delegation from TEPCO – Tokyo Electric Power Company at GOPACS!
It is a significant milestone for us when a global energy leader serving 29 million customers looks to the Netherlands for best practices in congestion management.
The focus of our session was clear: how GOPACS uses automation and market-based solutions to unlock grid capacity and accelerate the energy transition.
We took a deep dive into the “Dutch approach,” discussing TSO-DSO coordination and the mechanics of our redispatch algorithm. Comparing our regional challenges with the Japanese energy landscape provided invaluable insights for both sides.
If this meeting proved anything, it’s that solving grid congestion is a global team sport. We are proud to share our expertise and continue building the smart grids of the future—together!
